Upon completing this course, participants will have a solid understanding of the following key areas:

  • The significance of managing health and safety in the workplace
  • The essential terms associated with health and safety
  • How to assess, mitigate, identify, and manage workplace risks
  • Methods to evaluate health and safety standards within their organisation
  • How to implement best practices in their organisation’s health and safety systems
  • A multiple-choice test featuring 30 questions, with 60 points available. To pass, participants must achieve a score of 60%, which means they need to get at least 36 out of 60 correct.
  • A practical assessment where participants demonstrate their ability to apply the knowledge acquired during the course to real-life scenarios. This risk assessment must be submitted within two weeks of completing the course.

Participants will receive an IOSH Managing Safely® certificate after successfully completing both assessment parts.

Many individuals who complete the IOSH Managing Safely course consider pursuing the NEBOSH General Certificate. As the industry standard for health and safety professionals, this qualification is also well-suited for those looking to start a career in health and safety.
